Judith Praschak

Judith Praschak, 58, of Sanford, died at her home on Saturday, January 3, 2009.Judith was born in East Orange, New Jersey on December 3, 1950 to John and Norma (Small) O'Neill and attended local schools. She graduated from Clifford J. Scott High School and then enrolled in the Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Upon completion of the nursing program, she became licensed with the state of New Jersey as a registered professional nurse. She had worked for 16 years as a nurse at the Sanford Junior High School.Judith had a great love for life. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader and loved animals. She was a strong advocate for various arts programs and was active in community theater. Judith touched the lives of all the people around her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Surviving are her husband, Paul Praschak of Sanford; a son, Michael Praschak and his wife Megan of Winthrop; a daughter Kira Lambert and her husband Ronald of Sanford; a grandson, Maksim Praschak of Winthrop and a sister Elizabeth Neilsen of Hamilton Township, NJ.For those who desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Sanford High School Marching Band Inaugural Fund c/o Matt Doiron, 52 Sanford High School Boulevard, Sanford, Maine 04073.Arrangements are through Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home in Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family, please click the condolences tab to the left.
