SOUTH PORTLAND- Judith (Brown) Anderschat, 45, of South Portland, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Born September 3, 1969, Judy was the daughter of Gordon and Joan (Toman) Brown. Judy graduated from Scarborough High School, Class of 1987. Judy was employed with Pratt Insurance Agency in Westbrook for over 21 years. In addition, she was employed with the Portland Pirates and the Lewiston Maineiacs Hockey Clubs. It was with hockey where she connected with the person that she would later marry. Judy married James E. Anderschat on July 17, 1993. Together, they shared 21 years of marriage and enjoyed traveling and cruises. Judy's life revolved around her beloved dogs, Ilsa Mae and Greta Bean, her family, and her adored nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy is survived by her brothers, William E. Brown and his wife Dianna of Wells, Gregory M. Brown and his wife Tracey of Scarborough; sisters-in-law, Karen LoCascio and husband John and Julie Anderschat; nieces and nephews, Eric and Ryan Brown, Megan Charland and her husband Chad, Brianna Steinback and her husband Matthew, Zachary Brown, Meghan Ganschow and her husband Scott, Jenn Anderschat, Caitlin King and her husband Jason, Daniel Anderschat, Shannon LoCascio, and several great nieces and nephews. Judy is also survived by her dear friends, Kathy (White) Reid and Chrissy (Andreson) Geren, and Shelley (Murphy) Burton as well as several other close friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Hector Tarrazza and the staff at Maine Medical Center and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the compassionate care they provided. Visiting Hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland. Burial will follow at Black Point Cemetery, Scarborough.
