Joyce E. Potter

February 26, 2002Joyce Elizabeth Potter, 74, of Sanford, died February 26th 2002 at her residence.She was born in England on September 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Frederick and Elsie Freeman Whyte, and was educated there. She moved to the United States in 1946 at age 19.Mrs. Potter was a special loving woman who enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She loved biking, especially on her three wheel bike. She also enjoyed Nature, Gardening and The Outdoors as well as shopping, especially at the mallShe is survived by her daughter Laura Potter of Sanford; sons, Steven M. Potter of Sanford, David Joseph Potter of Rhode Island, Scott A. Potter of Portland, Maine, Mark C. Potter of Pennsylvania and Michael J. Potter of Florida; a sister Muriel Hodgson, and her Husband Cliff, of Kingston Canada; a brother Roy Whyte of England; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held privately, if desired, donations may be made in her memory to The September 11th Memorial Fund c/o The American Red Cross, 899 Main St., Sanford, ME 04073, or The Batesville Living Memorial Program c/o Options by Batesville, P.O.
