Joyce was an extraordinary woman: very intelligent, kind, intuitive, and generous. She was a dedicated friend to all who was a very fun personality! She did so much personally and professionally to help the disadvantaged citizens of Maine, particularly seniors and those with vision impairment. I and all who knew her will always miss her. Rest peacefully, Joyce.
I worked at Huntington Commons as a PSS for the residents in Kennebunk where Joyce resided. I assisted Joyce in providing her daily care as needed.
I used to call her “my little chickadee” because she was so petite and so cute. What I most remember about Joyce is how we used to walk hand in hand to the Dining Room. She also loved her cat so much who also lived with her at Huntington Commons.
Joyce loved it when I would fix and curl her hair…that made her day!
I will always remember “my little chickadee”….she was such a sweet, kind-hearted woman. May you rest in peace, Joyce!
