John V. Libby
John V. Libby, 73, of Sanford, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday December 4, 2020. He was born in Sanford on November 12, 1947 a son of the late Lawrence and Bettina (Shaw) Libby.John worked various jobs in his younger years. He finally settled into bartending and held that position at the Lafayette Social Club in Sanford for over 30 years. He was an avid drummer playing in various local bands. He loved nature and being in the outdoors. He particularly took pride in feeding turtles off his front porch.John is predeceased by his parents as well as one brother, Bill Libby.He is survived by two brothers, Scott Libby of Austin, Texas, David Libby and his wife, Donna of Shapleigh, one son, Christopher Dumont, two grandchildren, William and Henry, sister in law, Debi Libby.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
