Jerri L. Palmer, 71, of South Portland, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Born in Houlton, Maine, on February 21, 1954, Jerri was the daughter of Herbert and Lenora Scott. Growing up Jerri had a very special bond with her grandmother, Hattie Veysey. Jerri cherished her role as a stay-at-home mom to her son, Jason, finding great joy in caring for her family. She also worked as a school crossing guard and in credit counseling.

Jerri will be remembered for her sharp wit, wonderful sense of humor and always having a good book in her hand. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, and she found peace and joy in the company of her family and her beloved pets.

Jerri is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Mark Palmer; her son, Jason Palmer, and his husband, Bill; her brothers, Ronald Scott, and his longtime partner, Sandi MacDonald, and Laurie Scott and his wife, Catherine. Her warmth, wit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Mark and Jerri were married to the song Color My World by Chicago, please take a few moments to listen to this song that held a special spot in their hearts for 50 years.
