Jeffrey A. Savage, 48, of Somersworth, NH passed away on Monday, August 29 at Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester from complications of alcoholism.
He was born on May 3, 1974, to Alan "Chip" and Kathleen (Martin) Savage in Biddeford where he grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Biddeford High School in 1992 and attended USM in Gorham.
He was a member of the Eagles in Somersworth, NH.
Jeff found his love of cooking at Fore Street Restaurant in Portland. From there he made his career as a self-taught professional Chef. He proudly made dishes for celebrities and presidents and was on television and in magazines winning may awards for his amazing food. He was also invited to cook twice at the James Beard House in New York City.
He was a very genuine and loving person. Jeff always thought of others before himself and was incredibly thoughtful. He was hard working and fun. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He predeceased by his grandparents Pauline and Harold Martin and Mary and Calman Savage, and his special friend CJ Charland.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Savage of Somersworth, NH his parents Chip and Kathleen of Saco and Venice FL, stepdaughter Meghan Forbes and her husband Branden of North Berwick, brother Kenneth Savage and his wife Kimy of Biddeford, grandson Ryder Forbes, nephews Jared and Cody Savage, several aunts, uncles and cousins and last but not least, his beloved dog Castile or "Fat Dog".
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to take someone you love out to eat a nice meal.
