Jeffrey Michael Pratt, 44, of Sanford, died at his home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Jeff was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on January 26, 1977. He grew up in Saugus where he attended local schools, graduating from Saugus High School in 1995.
Jeff was a hard worker and had a passion for cooking. He had been employed as a chef at several fine dining restaurants for most of his career. He loved animals and was especially fond of the many dogs and cats that he had over the years. He had a good heart and genuinely cared for the people around him. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend and will be dearly missed.
Jeff was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Lounsbury, his aunt, Margaret Brassil and his step father David Marcus.
Surviving are his mother, Donna Marcus of Sanford; his father and step-mother, Frederick Pratt, Jr. and Sonya Pratt of Saugus; his grandparents, Fred and Elinor Pratt of Revere, Massachusetts; his brother, Brian Pratt of Nashua, New Hampshire; his step-sister, Katilyn Matthews of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada; his uncle, Steven Pratt of Revere, Massachusetts and his aunt, Linda McNelley of Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Arrangements for Jeff will be private.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the Animal Welfare Society, 46 Holland Road, Kennebunk, Maine 04043.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
