Jeannette D. Girard

Jeannette D. Girard, 100, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2013 at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Trois Pistoles, Canada on August 31, 1912 a daughter of the late Joseph and Apauline (Parent) Dumont.For many years she was employed in the local textile mills and was a communicant of the former St. Ignatius Parish.She is predeceased by her husband, Nelson Girard who passed away in 1977. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn Frevele, Lillian Couture, Louise Vallee, Yvonne Dumont, Marian Dumont, Arsene Dumont, Louis Dumont, Paul Dumont, Maurice Dumont, Andre Dumont, George Dumont, Joseph Dumont, Omer Dumont, Conrad Dumont Raymond Dumont.She is survived by one sister, Simone Fortier of Sanford as well as many nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27th at 10AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. Relatives and friends are invited to visit beginning at 9:00 until 9:45AM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
