SPRINGVALE— Jeanne L. Arsenault, 62, of Springvale, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on Wednesday afternoon, August 20th 2025.

She was born on August 26, 1962 in Sanford the daughter of Richard and Elaine(Conant) Arsenault. A very special woman to many, Jeanne dedicated her life to both her hunger for knowledge and her love of helping both people and animals alike.

Over the past several decades Jeanne had spent her time caring for her parents 24/7 as they aged before their passing. During that time she held many jobs including bookkeeping for her sister Eileen’s company Midnet Inc.,(before Eileen’s passing). Jeanne also ran her own business the Bridge of Light Studio, in Acton Maine where she offered supportive and healing services via her Reiki Practice.

In her younger years Jeanne grew up in Springvale and was a graduate of Sanford High School. She attended the University of Southern Maine and obtained a degree in Business and Communications. Jeanne also enlisted in the Army Reserve where she was studying to be a Russian translator but unfortunately was injured during training. She served in the Reserve for three years before being honorably discharged.

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Richard and Elaine, her sister, Eileen and her brother William.
She is survived by her siblings, Maureen and Timothy Arsenault both of Springvale and Robin Russo of Troy New York. As well as her nieces, (that she cared for like daughters), Grace and Jasmine Arsenault of Springvale and Leanne Chabot of Shapleigh. Surviving her as well are her two Corgi Pups, Ella Louise & Piper who she loved with all her heart and who will remain in the care of her loving family.

Jeanne’s family will have a private gathering for close family only at a later date.

Jeanne’s family knows that she touched the lives of many and donated her time, energy and love to more people and organizations than can be named.
They ask that anyone who is wishing to honor her memory submit a donation in her name to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, https://www.hospiceofsouthernmaine.org/donate or their favorite Forest, Wildlife or Dog Rescue.

  1. To my precious, beloved sister JEANNE. I have so many wonderful memories of you growing up the happy little girl who is always smiling and making people laugh to a young woman entering the business world. You always had time to talk, and I treasure them many walks that we had in the woods behind our parents home. You blessed many people with your wisdom and knowledge of healing and the form and function of the human body and each of its parts. We shall miss your twinkling eyes and your laughter, and your passion for rescuing animals. So glad you got to be reunited with your corgi pups at the hospice house before you passed on to
Heaven. We look forward to you, welcoming us upon our own arrival(s).

Your passion for life included, helping people and animals comfortably pass from this life onto the next. I wash with amazement as you comforted our grandmother Viola Arsenault, who passed at 103 years in her own home attended by you in a hospice nurse. You did the same For Our anti-Robin Robin Foster during her cancer and passing. Your heartfelt compassion and love for Living things and desire to comfort them through their passing on heaven has earned you a jewel in your crown and a special place in my heart.

We will treasure indelible memories in our hearts of the wonderful imprint you made on each of our lives.
Our Abiding love, your big sister, Robin (you always called me Robie)and husband Paul Russo

Rest in peace dear sister +

  2. Some of my fond childhood memories are of time spent with “cool” Aunt Jeanne—memories that will remain forever timeless. Being only ten years younger than her, we shared a special connection. From sharing family meals, playing games, ice skating, and Christmas mornings at Grandma’s house in Maine, to celebrating Eileen’s wedding, to eating Italian sandwiches, to dancing and laughing in the cab of her truck—Jeanne always made life feel fun and intentional. I will love her always. She will be forever young in my heart and mind.

  3. Some of my fondest memories of my cool aunt Jeanne started when I was a pre-teen. She would take us for rides in her truck and play cool music and we would dance in our seats. As I got older, I was grateful for her strength, generosity and caring for all of her close family as they aged and passed as well as all the love and support she gave to her siblings, friends, nieces and animals. Even though I lived 5 hours away she would reach out to see if my family needed anything when she heard the Federal Government was shutting down which affected our finances etc. What a special sole she was and her spirit will continue to be in my life. Thinking of all of you that were so close to her and navigating her loss. Love you all.
