Jeanne L. Ridlon

Jeanne Guay Ridlon, 88, of West Newfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, with her family by her side.

JEanne was Born in Biddeford on July 6, 1937, to Joseph Narcisse and Blanche (Normand) Guay. She graduated from Governor Baxter State School for the Deaf and spent her life working for the textile mills in Biddeford.

When Jeanne lost her eyesight later in life, her beloved brother Oscar cared for her at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Kim Guay.

When Oscar passed away in 2021, Perry and Kim took over her care.

Before Jeanne lost her eyesight she enjoyed crocheting doll clothes for her nieces, puzzles, walking to all her destinations in Biddeford and Saco, and her cats! Jeanne never met a cat she didn’t immediately fall in love with.

Jeanne was predeceased by her sister Aline and brothers Oscar and Herve. She is survived by sister’s Rachel and Joan, nephew Perry and his wife Kim, as well as many other nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

At Jeanne’s request there will be no service. Burial will take place in the spring.
