Jean I. (Duncan) LeBlanc of Acton, ME, and formerly of Lynn, MA, passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017 at the Masconomet Nursing Home in Topsfield,MA. She was born on October 2, 1932 in Lynn a daughter of the late E. Cedric and Elva (Huggins) Duncan. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1950. She worked as a clerk stenographer in the Department of Veterans services at Lynn City Hall. She resigned in 1956 to raise her family. She was deeply involved in the rearing of her six children. She enjoyed antiques, collectibles, and spent numerous hours solving crossword puzzles as she looked out at the beauty of Great East Lake.She was a former member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Lynn and a current member of the Acton Congregational Church in Acton, Maine.She is predeceased by her husband, John Preston LeBlanc Sr., her brother, Clifford Duncan.She is survived by her children, John P. LeBlanc Jr., of Acton, Maine, Scott D. LeBlanc of Lynn,MA, Lori J. Cronin of Peabody, MA, Cheryl A. Daley of Byfield, MA, Karen M. LeBlanc of Derry, NH, Suzanne P. Barnwell of Travelers Rest, SC, 16 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.A funeral service will be held on Thursday December7th at 1PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. Visiting hours will begin on Thursday at 11AM until 1PM. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Acton.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 383 US RT 1, #2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
