Jane Elizabeth Queen

Portland- Jane Elizabeth Queen, 87, of Canco Road died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Jane was born the only child of the late Ovie Vanier and Isabell (Walsh) Vanier Feeney. She attended local schools and graduated from Cathedral High School in Portland. Jane married Donald Queen and together they made their home in Portland. She worked for the New England Telephone Company for several years, but after the birth of her son, she became a full time homemaker. Long walks around Portland and reading a good a book were two of Jane’s favorite pastime activities. She loved to make people laugh and was always most happy when surrounded by family and friends. Jane was also a longtime communicant of the former St. Dominic’s Parish in Portland. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Donald Queen. She is survived by her son, Gregory Queen of Portland.
