South Portland, ME and more recently, Haines City, FL - Jane Marie Pomerleau, 77, of Sweetwater Way, died on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Spring Lake Nursing Center in Winter Haven, FL following a long illness. Her loving family was by her side.

Following high school, Jane moved to Syracuse, New York where she lived with her sister Deborah and worked for General Electric. This is where the magic began, in the very parking lot where she parked her car, she met a young man named Joseph Girard Pomerleau, who was the parking lot attendant, who would graciously valet park her car on rainy days. This was a "special" service just for Jane. Joseph and Jane were married at St. John the Evangelist Church in South Portland on October 13, 1962.
Together Jerry and Jane had three daughters. While raising their children, Jane worked part- time off and on but her main focus was to raise the children and maintain her home with her beloved Jerry. Later in life Jane began working for Kierstead & Fox in Westbrook, where she worked for 15 years. Jerry and Jane began their retirement in Florida in 2001 where they enjoyed so many wonderful years together.
