James Charette

Scarborough - James Charette, 80, formerly of Fort Kent, died on Saturday, March 25, 2017. James was born on April 12, 1936, in Fort Kent, a son of the late Damas and Isabelle (Blier) Charette. He grew up in Fort Kent with his 17 other siblings and attended local schools. James worked as a Grader operator for many years. He was predeceased by his former wife, Joella Valre; two sons, Lloyd and Terrance Charrette; step-son, Donald Lathers; and 14 siblings. James is survived by his wife, Janet Charette; a daughter, Judy Valdez of AZ; step-daughter, Donna Arthur of Frenchville; two sons, Raymond Charette of Costigan, Allen Charette of NC; step-son, David Caverno of NH; brothers, Charlie Charette of Augusta, Bernard Charette of CT, Normand Charette of NH; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and severl nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June, 24, at the Agape Christian Fellowship, 178 N Perling Brook Rd, Fort Kent.
