James R. Camire
James R. Camire, 71, of Sanford, died January 30 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a brief illness.He was born in Sanford on November 30, 1943, the son of Raymond A. and Bertha (Legere) Camire. He attended local schools and was a 1961 graduate of St. Ignatius High School.Jim had several occupations over the years. He was a Vice President of the former Sanford Trust Company for several years. He owned and operated Discount Depot, an appliance store in Springvale, and was a salesman for Ballenger Auto in Sanford.He was a communicant of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish.Jim loved his grandchildren. Whenever there was a sporting, music or dance event, Grampy was always in the stands.Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Ann (Tremblay) Camire of Sanford, daughter Christine Caramihalis and her husband Andrew of No. Berwick, son Mark Camire and his wife Cherylan of Acton, son Brian Camire and his wife Tiffany of Acton, daughter Karen Allen and her husband Robert of Sanford, brothers Dennis Camire of Biddeford, Michael Camire and his wife Kathy of Dayton, brother-in-law Ronald Tremblay and his wife Michele of Sanford, 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. Burial will be in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Lung Association, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
