Jacqueline "Jackie" Demers, 63, of Sanford, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Sanford on November 7, 1949, a daughter of the late Alfred J. "Freddie" and Geraldine (Bodwell) Levesque. She attended local schools graduating from Sanford High School in 1969. On December 3, 1971 she married Alan P. Demers in Sanford.For many years she was employed as a hairdresser. She then worked at Sprague Electric. When she retired she had been employed as a legal secretary with the law firm of Shortill and Shortill.Jackie will always be remembered for her bubbly outgoing personality. She was a fun loving woman who brought joy and laughter to everyone she came into contact with. Very family orientated she especially treasured her grandchildren's day to day life and took pride in their accomplishments.Jackie is predeceased by her parents, husband, Alan P. Demers, brother, Ronald J. Levesque, sister, Joanne Gray, stepgranddaugher, Tamra Benoit.A loving mother she is survived by her daughters, Holly Benoit and her husband, Jody of Sanford, Heidi Demers and her fiance, Jason Bergeron of Sanford. A loving memere, she is also survived by her granddaughter, Jodi Jeanette, stepgrandson, Ryan Benoit, granddaughter, Abbi Freeman, grandson, Alan-Michael Freeman, grandson, Austin Ham, granddaughter, Brooke Benoit, step granddaughter, Emiley Bergeron, stepgranddaughter, Hailey Bergeron, stepgranddaughter, Kailey Bergeron, brothers, Robert Levesque of Sabattus, Richard Levesque of Springvale, sisters, Patricia Morin of Arizona, Linda France of Biddeford, Shirley Demers of Sanford.A funeral service for Jackie will be held on Wednesday at 4PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
