Irma G. Newhall

Irma G. Newhall, a longtime resident of Prospect Street in Springvale, died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter in Shapleigh after a lengthy illness.She was born in Sanford, a daughter of John and Aurore (Bisson) Gauthier and attended local schools.For many years, she was employed at the Sanford Dress Shop. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Springvale.She was predeceased by her husband Harold E. Newhall in 1987 and by a son, Robert Newhall in 2005.Survivors include a daughter, Rita Lemay and her husband Donald of Shapleigh, a son, Richard Newhall of Florida, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Notre Dame Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
