I met Jeanie fifty years ago when Michael awkwardly introduced me to his mom. By the time Jeanie welcomed me into her family with that signature warmth and Southern hospitality, our friendship had already grown into a genuine regard for each other. I feel blessed. Jeanie knew the strength of listening, the beauty in patience, and the comfort of a hot meal served with generosity. I won’t forget those lessons. Rest in peace, my friend.
