Springvale, MaineHug R. Murray, 72, of Springvale died December 11, 2002 at The Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in New Haven CT, on January 18, 1930 the son of Murdo and Eleanor (Davenport) Murray and attended schools there.Mr. Murray worked as a supervisor for the Mite Corporation in Connecticut for 38 years till his retirement in 1989.He was a past Grand Knight of The Knights of Columbus Eldorado Council in Branford, CT. He was also a member of The Veterans of Foreign War in CT.Mr. Murray's passions were woodworking and organic gardening.He is survived by his wife of 49 years Anna (Raccio) Murray of Springvale; sons Michael Murray of East Longmeadow, MA, Anthony Murray of Hampton, NH; a daughter Eleanor St. Pierre of Springvale; grandsons Patrick and William Murray; granddaughters Caitlin Murray and Adriana St. Pierre; sisters Margaret Quirk and Marion Dell, both of Hamden, CT.Relatives and friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00PM on Friday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Sanford.
