Helen Brigitte LeBlanc, 69, passed away peacefully in the early the morning of April 21, 2021.
Helen was born on March 5, 1952 in Augsburg, Germany to Joseph and Barbara Wilhelmine Baron. Born into a military family, Helen, her parents and her sister, Lori, soon moved to the United States. When Helen's father retired from the military, they settled in his hometown of Sanford, Maine.
Helen was a graduate of Sanford High School. Meeting on a blind date set up by dear friends, Helen met and then married the love of her life, Michael LeBlanc, in 1971. Brought together by friends and supported by loving families, they proudly raised four children: Nicole, Danielle, Jason, and Kristen. In addition to being a mother, Helen worked at Shaw's Supermarket, retiring after more than 30 years.
Helen enjoyed sharing her creative talents with family and friends. Helen was a good cook and baker. Whether a meal with family, a recipe at sorority night with hometown friends or whoopie pies baked just because, she made and shared them with love and pride. Helen had a knack for crafts, and loved painting ceramics, cross-stitching, quilting, and knitting. She relished sharing these talents with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Helen cherished time with family and friends playing card games like Frustration, reminiscing and laughing over a cup of coffee and traveling to visit those she loved. Helen's most joy-filled memories were on trips to visit her sister, Lori, and traveling to see her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by children, Nicole Turner and husband Pete, Danielle Self, Jason LeBlanc and wife Courtney, and Kristen Loflin and husband Nick; 6 beloved grandchildren Josie & Trent Turner, Tatum Self, John, Abby and Gabe Loflin; her sister, Lori Hallinan, and sister-in-law Aurelie Pfohl and husband Edward (Skip); and cherished nieces and nephews, Barbara Schiattone, Lisa Sanchez, Bobby Golasky, Brandon & Ryan Hallinan and Bailey & Shane Pfohl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday May 8, 2021 At St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford. Interment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Dear Nicole, Danielle, Jason & Kristen. The entire Roux family was so sad to hear about you Mom’s passing. As you know, your grandparents, Maurice and Betty, were great family friends and we always enjoyed seeing all of you when they would bring you to the lake. My Dad, who is now 90, commented that “Helen was such a good girl and took special care of her parents”….Helen always had a smile for everyone she met and we are comforted in knowing that she and your Dad are reunited again. God Bless all of you and your families. Marlene (Roux) Flanagan
