Helen B. Demers

Helen B. Demers, 92, of Alfred, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009, at the H.D. Goodall Hospital. She was born in Westbrook on December 10, 1916, one of 13 children of Joseph and Rosalie (Perrin) Girard.She had resided in California 30 years prior to moving to Alfred in 1998.She is predeceased by her husband, Harvey Demers and a son, Paul Demers.She is survived by a son, Kenneth Demers and his family of Alfred, a sister, Lucille Strmiska of Florida, a brother, Raymond Girard of Connecticut, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.At her request there will be no funeral services.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at the Condolences tab at left.
