Haley P. Plaisted, 16, of Shapleigh, died at her home on Monday, April 8, 2013.Haley was born in Sanford on April 11, 1996 to Shane Plaisted and Rebecca Winchell. She grew up in Arundel and Shapleigh and had most recently attended Sanford High School. Haley was a very adventurous and creative person and was always into everything. She enjoyed riding dirt bikes and ATV's and loved to make people laugh. She had a very big heart and would do anything for anybody. Haley was a very athletic person. She was an excellent swimmer and played basketball, ran cross-country and was also a cheerleader. She would often write poetry and loved listening to and playing music. She was very talented musically and could quickly learn to play virtually any instrument that she was interested in. She had been a member of the Navy Junior R.O.T.C. Program while attending high school. Haley loved being around her family and was particularly close to her maternal grandmother, Patricia. Haley will be remembered as a kind and loving girl who always had a strong desire to please others and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her mother, Rebecca Liberty and her companion David Pillsbury of Shapleigh; her father, Shane A. Plaisted and his companion Danielle Sutherland of Lebanon; three sisters, Amber McCormick and her husband Corey of Frederick, Maryland, Ashley Page and her companion David Mello of Sanford and Julia Plaisted of Lebanon; three step-sisters, Heather Cyr of Arundel, Hailee Pillsbury of Sanford and Alexis Pillsbury of Sanford; a step brother, Matthew Cyr of Arundel; her maternal grandmother, Patricia Winchell of Lebanon; her paternal grandmother, Janice Plaisted of Lebanon; a niece Marilynne McCormick of Frederick, Maryland and many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Winchell family of Acton and the Plaisted Family of Lebanon.Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service following at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 13th at the Curtis Lake Christian Church located on Westview Drive in Sanford with Rev.
