Guy Caron

Guy Caron, 81, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Greenwood Center after a brief illness.Guy was born in Sanford on October 20, 1930 to Eugene and Laura (Dery) Caron and attended Holy Family School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Guy worked most of his life as a mason contractor. He owned and operated his own business for about 15 years before retiring in 1996. Guy was an avid antique car enthusiast and loved to restore his cars. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Guy was predeceased by his siblings, Fernand Caron, Rita Caron, Therese L'Heureux, Gertrude Caron, Denis Caron, Raymond Caron and Gerard Caron.Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Rachel (Lamontagne) Caron of Sanford; a son, David Caron and his wife Dianna of Sanford; two granddaughters, Shelby and Vanessa Caron whom he dearly adored; five siblings, Jeanne Rioux and her husband Henry of Biddeford, Yvette Dumont of Sanford, Germaine Chevalier and her husband Paul of Sanford, Doris Higgins of Sanford, Henry Caron and his wife Paula and a sister-in-law, Simone Caron of Sanford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 23rd at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church, located on Payne Street in Springvale.
