Gregory Dennis Gleason

South Portland- Gregory D. Gleason, 64, of Pine Street passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Greg was born in Portland, Maine on March 31, 1958 the son of William A. and Joan T.. (Shaw) Gleason. He graduated from South Portland High School in the class of 1976. Following high school, Greg attended Maine Maritime for several years before he enlisted and served in the United State Coast Guard. Greg worked for the Telephone Company, first as an installer and then as a lineman. He retired from the phone company after more than 25 years of service. In his spare-time Greg was an avid Nascar fan and was an overall car enthusiast who enjoyed learning about all different makes and models. He loved nature and just enjoyed anytime he could be outside. He was lifelong communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Portland. Greg was predeceased by his father, William A. Gleason. He is survived by his mother, Joan T.. Gleason; a sister, Sheila and her husband Stephen Leadbetter of FL; a brother William “Eric” and his wife Michelle Gleason of CA; two nephews.
