Gregory Givens

Gregory Charles Givens, 28, of North Berwick, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 5, 2009.Gregory was born in Colorado Springs, CO on January 26, 1981 to Deborah Nnadim. In 1987, his family moved to Sanford where he attended local schools. He graduated from Sanford High School in 2000. Gregory was a gifted athlete, receiving several scholarships and awards in high school including state championships in football, wrestling and track. In 2001 Gregory became the proud parent of Dezirae. He was a devoted and loving father. He enjoyed working out, raising pit bulls and riding his motorcycle. He was also very close to his mother and made it a point to call her every day. Gregory was as a devoted family man and friend. He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and always having a kind word to say.Surviving are his daughter, Dezirae Givens of Biddeford; his mother, Deborah Nnadim of Sanford; his stepfather, Gary Cote of Sanford; his brother, Mike Ingram of Sanford; his sister, Kenyatta Givens of Bangor and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a funeral following at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 10th at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to the Animal Welfare Society, Inc., P.O.
