Gloria M. LeBlanc

Gloria Cote LeBlanc, 87, of Kennebunk, Maine, formerly of Sanford and Wells Beach, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.Gloria was born in Sanford on July 10, 1931, the daughter of Joseph & Winifred (Webber) Cote, graduating from Sanford High School in 1949. In 1957 she married Fernand LeBlanc and together they raised 3 children.Gloria worked for many years as a bookkeeper for local auto dealerships and at the Ogunquit Playhouse after her retirement. She wintered in Ft. Meyers Beach and Ft. Pierce, Florida with her husband for 30 years and spent summers at their cottage at Wells Beach where many family and friends gathered for lobster feeds, cocktails, and good times over the years. She loved to play bingo and poker and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas. She spent many years helping out on her Class of 1949 Reunion Committee and always looked forward to those fun times.Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 53 years, her sisters Phyllis, Sylvia and Charlene and a grandson Curtis. She is survived by her son Thomas LeBlanc of Sanford, daughters Kathleen Nolette and her partner Eddie St. John of Kennebunk and Gayle McAllister and her husband Jim of Richmond, Virginia, sister Paula, brother Joseph Jr., six grandchildren Kimberly, Amanda, Sean, Randi, Liam and Lily and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation on Sunday, November 18th from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 16 Grammar Road, Sanford, ME. A burial will take place Monday morning at 10AM, November 19th, at Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road, Springvale, ME.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider making a donation to the hospice organization that took such great care of Gloria: Compassus, 23 Spring Street, Suite C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
