Gloria Ann Boutot Fluet, age 62, left this world peacefully on December 29th, 2015 after a longstruggle with cancer.Gloria was born on May 30, 1953 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford to Marjorie and AlbertBoutot. She attended St. Ignatius School and graduated from Sanford High School in 1971.She married Renald Joseph Fluet on June 9, 1972 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford.She was a loving and dedicated wife, as well as a proud mother of James Peter Fluet. All her early jobs were working with people, but she ended up entering the field of medicine. She wasa medical transcriptionist at Goodall Hospital for 28 years and worked her last 7 years for amedical transcription contractor; she was known as one of the best medical transcriptionists inthe area. She retired in 2014 due to health issues.Gloria was a dedicated, gentle and giving person, known for her love of family, selflessness andpersonal strength. She and her home have always been the hub of the family and its activities.She was a friend and comfort to everyone she met. Her son, daughter-in-law, and twogranddaughters were the joy of her life. Her interests included cooking, shopping, Christmas,sports (especially baseball). She was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan.She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron, son Jamie, daughter-in-law Kristen,granddaughters Lydia and Emily, her siblings, Elaine Beattie of Waterboro, Pete Boutot ofSanford, Tom Boutot of Florida, John Boutot of Hollis, and Celeste Belanger of Acton. She'ssurvived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and countless cousins.A wake will be held at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford from 4:30 to 7:30 PM on Monday, January 4th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 5th at 10:00 AM at St. Therse of Liseiux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will be in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
