
South Portland – Glenn A. MacMillan passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving famiy. Glenn was born September 29, 1955, to the late Albert and Phyllis (Lewis) MacMillan and was raised in South Portland.
Glenn was a talented athlete. He was proud to be catcher for the South Portland American Little League team in 1967. His team competed in the Eastern Region Tournament of the Little League World Series. In 1973, Glenn graduated from SPHS and received a soccer scholarship to University of Maine Fort Kent. He later enlisted in the Air Force, finishing his education at the University of Miami. Glenn loved to trek to remote areas mining gemstones. He spent countless hours tumbling stones, amassing an impressive collection that he shared with family.
Glenn was predeceased by his sister, Ann. He is survived by his sister, Jane (Mike) Afthim; brothers, John (Bev) and Terry MacMillan; his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews; lifelong friend, Pamela Grondin; and many more family and friends. Glenn will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland.
