Glen Warren Carter Jr.

Glen W. Carter Jr.,64, of Springvale, passed away peacefully at his residence on November 4, 2023. He was born on October 5, 1959, to Glen and Janice (Sanborn) Carter in Dover, NH. Glen grew up with family in Maine and Massachusetts, attending school particularly in Lowell. As a young man he went to work as a mover and spent his life traveling the country moving customers to their new destinations. He lived in North Carolina for 20 years, and recently settled in Springvale. He thoroughly enjoyed his time on the road and seeing new places. Mostly, he enjoyed being with his family. He was a fun loving, easy to laugh, unpredictable person. His loved ones will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his parents and an infant grandson Austin Ryan. Survivors include his loving wife of over 40 years, Rita Lopez Carter of Springvale, his children Shawn Baker, Matthew Carter, Glen M. Carter and his partner Kassi Pylka of NC, David Carter of Springvale, Tiffany Carter of NC and Alexander Carter also of NC, his siblings David Lawrence and his wife Karen of OH, Bruce Carter and his wife Lisa of Springvale, Carrie Sanborn and her husband Bill of Garland, Robert Carter of TX and brothers Steve Martin and his wife Rebecca, and Eric Martin all of IL, 19 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Springvale Social Club, 22 Bridge St., Springvale. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
