Gilberte R. Allain

Gilberte R. Allain, 85, of Sanford, passed away after a long illness on Thursday April 12, 2007 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Sanford on February 7, 1922, a daughter of Louis and Corinne (Beaudoin) Roy.Mrs. Allain attended local catholic schools in Sanford. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She worked at Sprague Electric for 12 years.She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Patrick Allain who passed away in 1965, one son, Robert Allain who passed away in 1967, one daughter, Joan Allain Paine who passed away in 1998, two brothers, Rudy and Normand Roy, one sister, Doris Roy.She is survived by one son, Richard J. Allain and his wife, Irene of Sanford, one brother, Donald Roy of South Berwick, two sisters, Rita L'Heureux and Rejeanne Robichaud both of Sanford as well as eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.Visiting hours will be on Tuesday April 17th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at St. Therse of Lisieux-St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford.
