Gertrude C. Ham

Gertrude C. Ham, 72, of Sanford, died November 21 at the Newton Center in Sanford after a brief illness.She was born in Sanford on January 21, 1934, a daughter of Leo and Olive (Bouchard) Vallee.A lifelong resident of the area, she provided child care and housekeeping services for 48 years and worked for a time at the former Sanford Health Care Facility.Her interests included ceramics, shopping, flea markets and playing poker.Her husband, Everett F. Ham, died in 1992.Survivors include 2 sons, Curtis Ham and his wife Norma, Lynn Ham and his wife Patty, all of Sanford, a daughter, Susan Phillips and her husband Raymond of E. Machias, 2 brothers, Raymond Vallee of Springvale, Roger Vallee of Sanford, 4 sisters, Lorette Gagne of Florida, Cecile Melanson of Sanford, Theresa Tardiff of Acton, Jeannine Vallee of Springvale, 5 grandchildren and a great grandson.A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale with Fr.
