Gerard M. Garon, 78, of Springvale, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at his home in Springvale. He was born on May 8, 1943, a son of the late Marcel and Pauline (Poirier) Garon. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Louis High School in Biddeford. He then enlisted in the US Air Force and served four years until his discharge in 1967.That same year he married Claudette Nadeau on September 30, 1967. He was employed and retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Claudette Garon of Springvale, one son, Michael Garon and his wife, Belinda of Lyman, one daughter, Christine Rausch and her husband, Scott of South Dakota, four grandchildren, Isaiah, Hope, Sarah, Cody. He is also survived by his sister, Paulette Sanders.Military Honors will be rendered on Thursday April 28th at 12noon at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.
