Gerard E. Chretien

Gerard E. Chretien, 92, of Alfred, passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2017 at St. Andre's Home in Biddeford. He was born in Biddeford on May 7, 1924 a son of the late Alphonse and Corinne (Paul) Chretien. He served in US Army during WWII.For many years he had been employed as a machinist retiring from Kitter Press in Dover. He was a member and former vice president of the St. Louis Alumni and Association in Biddeford.He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Andrea (Courtois) Chretien of Alfred, children, Roger Chretien of Flagstaff, Arizona, Gerald Chretien of Waterboro, Linda Reed of Derry, New Hampshire, Daniel Chretien of Marshfield, Missouri, grandchildren, Cheryl Chretien, Jennifer Chretien and Stacy Chretien.A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 7th at 1PM at the Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
