Gerard E. Baron, "Ti Nu", 80, of Sanford and Wells Beach passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Gosnell Memorial House in Scarborough. He was born in Sanford on August 15, 1930 a son of the late Donat and Helen (Furlotte) Baron. He attended Holy Family School.For many years Mr. Baron was employed by Campanella & Cardi Construction. He also worked as a millwright at Sanford Weaving. When he retired he had been employed as a machinist with Moulton Machine Shop in Alfred.An avid fisherman and hunter, he was a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. To them he was "Pepere Beach". He enjoyed traveling to St. Thomas, Bahamas and St. Lucia.Mr. Baron is predeceased by his siblings Roland Baron, Joseph Baron, Raymond Baron, Jeannette Baron and Robert Baron.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores (Guertin) Baron of Sanford, children, Carl Baron and his wife, Deborah of Easley, South Carolina, Alan Baron and his wife, Elaine of Sanford, Brenda Morin and her husband, David of Sanford, sister, Doris Madore and her husband Ralph of Saco, grandchildren, Melissa LaRose, Chad Baron, Angie McLeod, Matthew Baron, Todd Morin and 12 great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 24th at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church where family will greet relatives and friends beginning at 10AM.
