Gary D. Hurlburt

Gary D. Hurlburt, 64, of Sanford, died November 26 at home after a long illness.He was born in New Haven, CT on June 21, 1949, the son of Roy and Carmella (Squalia) Hurlburt.Gary was a very loving, generous man. He adored his children and grandchildren, his favorite pastime being just spending time with them, his wife and his friends.Gary was a US Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Vietnam war.He loved NASCAR, sci-fi movies and just life in general. Family members' most vivid recollection of him is in his recliner in front of his big screen TV eating fried chicken.He is survived by many family members including his wife, Alice R. (Albano) Hurlburt of Sanford.Burial with military honors will take place on Friday December 6 at 10:00 AM at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
