Gail P. Gilligan

Gail P. Gilligan, 68, of Springvale, Maine died on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover, New Hampshire with her family by her side.Gail was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on December 23, 1942 to Joseph C. and Edith F. (McDonough) Duran. She grew up in Woburn, MA and attended local schools, graduating from St. Charles High School in 1960. She held various jobs during her life including working for AT&T and Wal-Mart, which she retired from in 2008.Gail was a loving and devoted mother, wife and sister. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and doing sudoku and jigsaw puzzles. She had a fun spirit and a great sense of humor. She was a very strong woman and was devoted to her children. Gail was a devout Catholic and attended St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Gail was predeceased by her parents and by her husband, Charles N. Gilligan.Surviving are two sons, Edward J. Snapp and his wife Suzanne of Northbridge, MA and Sean-Michael E. Gilligan and his fiancee Kate Alzapiedi of Milford, MA; two sisters, Edith L.
