Frank "Frankie" Paul Policastro, 46, of Springvale, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Frankie was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey on August 21, 1968 to Frank and Linda (DeFilippo) Policastro. He grew up in Massachusetts and New York and had lived in Maine for the past 23 years.Frank was a talented craftsman and carpenter. He enjoyed playing board games, sports and cooking large meals to entertain family and friends. He will be dearly missed and will be remembered as a loving father who was taken from us far too soon. Frankie was predeceased by his parents.Surviving are five children, Kelsey Policastro, Shawn Policastro, Desirae Policastro, Sebastiano Policastro, and Carmine Policastro, all of Sanford; his grandson, Jayden McDonald of Sanford; his former spouse Tracy Kiernan of Sanford and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:45 PM with funeral prayers following at 1:45 on Wednesday, July 1st at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to Christina Defilippo to assist with final expenses, 130 Morrison Avenue, Unit #2, Somerville, Massachusetts 02144.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message for condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
