Frank R. DeVito

PORTLAND Frank R. DeVito, 86, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Sanford on July 18, 1931, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Frances (Austin) DeVito. He graduated from Portland High School Class of 1952. Following graduation, Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was recognized for his service by earning the Korean Service Metal, 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Metal and the Presidential Unit Citation Combat Riflemans Metal. After his discharge, Frank worked for Military Sea Transportation in New York City. He later worked for Chase Manhattan Bank from 1962-1987. He was predeceased by his wife, Assuntina Rose (Argento) DeVito. Frank is survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Homes, proudly serving the Veterans of Greater Portland.
