Frances Elaine Landry
October 31, 1953 – April 28, 2025

Frances Elaine Landry, 71, of Acton Maine, passed away in the comfort of her home. Born on
October 31, 1953 in Sanford, Maine. She grew up in Alfred and remained close to her roots,
spending her entire life in the southern Maine area.

Daughter of Robert and Barbara Leslie, Frances graduated from Massabesic High School and
later married Donald L. Landry, in the summer of 1985. Together they built a life grounded with
simplicity, and care for others.

Frances was deeply connected to the natural world and passionate about homesteading. She
had a gift for finding hidden treasures at a bargain. She found joy in growing flowers, bird
watching, and discovering the natural beauty around her. Frances was always ready to lend a
hand or a listening ear to anyone that needed it. Within her native circle, she was affectionately
known as “She Who Listens,” a name that reflected her quiet strength, compassion, and
wisdom.

She is survived by her brother David, sister Beverley, her devoted husband Donald, daughters
Hattie and Renee, son David, and granddaughter Esther.

Frances will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering kindness
for her family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at the family residence in Acton on Sunday the 18th of May,
all who wish to attend are welcome from 12-4. A private burial service will be held the following
day at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale
