FALMOUTH - Florence Amy Graham, 81 of Falmouth, died on February 28, 2012, in Portland. She was born in South Hadley, MA on December 3, 1930, the daughter of William and Elsie Spencer Johnston. Florence attended schools in South Hadley and graduated from the South Hadley High School in the Class of 1948. She then attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley. Florence married Robert Edward Graham on February 13, 1954. The couple moved to Portland when Robert was transferred by New England Telephone Company in 1959. They raised their four children in Portland, Maine Florence was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying hiking, birding, camping and especially canoeing throughout the waterways in the northern part of the state. She also enjoyed traveling to various areas of the United States. Florence was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2007, as well as by her two brothers, Henry and William Johnston. She is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Graham of Ft. Collins, CO; Jean G. Rhame and her husband, Richard of Alexandria, VA; two sons, Thomas E. Graham and his wife, Karen Stockmann of North Yarmouth; and David R. Graham and his wife, Jeanne Beatty of Cheshire, CT; two step grandchildren Sean Grear of North Yarmouth and Elizabeth Grear of Buenos Aires. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Portland.Online condolences may be expressed below.
