Evelyn Mary Dubois

Evelyn Mary Dubois, 89, of Wells and Lauderdale By The Sea, FL, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at her home in Wells.Evelyn was born in Dover, NH on December 31, 1918, the daughter of Alexander and Emaracienne (Poisson) Legere. A Sanford resident most of her life, in more recent years, she and her husband Ronel J. Dubois lived in Florida and summered in Wells. Evelyn loved reading, the theater, especially the Ogunquit Playhouse, and of course, Bingo in Florida and at the Wells Senior Center. Occasionally the slot machines at the casinos were an enjoyment to her. The greatest joy in her life were her family and many friends from around the US and Canada.She was predeceased by her husband in 1987 and by her only sibling, her brother Raymond Legere.Survivors include her son, Robert W. Dubois and his wife Patricia of Wells, grandson Andre R. Dubois, his wife Allison and their daughters Lila and Rose of Woodland Hills, CA, granddaughter Renee (Dubois) Tolonen, her husband Jeff and their children Griffin and Sydney of Pennington, NJ, granddaughter Michele Dubois and her partner Renee Seinfeld of So. Berwick, two nephews, Richard Dubois of Sanford, Paul Dubois of Panama City, FL, three nieces, Anita (Legere) Dudgeon of Wells, Betty (Legere) Gingras of Sanford, Gloria (Legere) Rawn of Kennebunk, and their families.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary's Church in Wells. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
