Eunice T. Michaud

Springvale - Eunice T. Michaud died peacefully in her sleep on August 9, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in the presence of loving family members.She was born in Highgate Center, Vermont on January 8, 1929, the daughter of Cleopha and Clara (Gallant) Gagner, and moved to Sanford as a young child. Eunice attended Sanford schools and was a 1947 graduate of Sanford High School. She married Adrien R. Michaud and was his devoted wife for 56 years.Eunice was employed as a telephone operator for AT&T until 1962. She loved to cook and as a result started and ran a successful catering business out of her home for many years. During Eunice's lifetime she was a communicant at St. Ignatius church in Sanford and later at Notre Dame church in Springvale. Eunice was predeceased by her husband, Adrien R. Michaud and brother, Clarence Gagner. Surviving relatives include her daughter Shirley A. Spaulding and her husband Douglas of Springvale; daughter Sandra Michaud of Springvale; grandson Ian Spaulding and wife Mindy along with great granddaughters Kylie and Sierra of Acton; brother Daniel L. Gagner of Acton; three sisters, Velma Chevalier of Sanford, Leata MacDonald of Old Orchard Beach, and Carlene Cox of Acton; and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her doctors, Herendra Patel and Can Ilyas, as well as the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the loving and wonderful care they provided to Eunice. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Gosnell Hospice House located at 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 40074. A Graveside service will be held on Monday August 14 at 10AM at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Berwick Road, Sanford.
