Estelle A. Rawski

Estelle Ann “Herriges” Rawski lovingly known as “Mert,” 97, of Springvale, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home in Springvale, Maine on Sunday June 22, 2025. Formerly of Milwaukee, Fox Lake, Florence, Wi and St. Petersburg, Florida. Estelle “Mert” (nee Herriges). She was married to Conrad John Rawski (deceased) for 68 years.

Estelle was born and raised in the Town of Lake, (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) on August 7, 1927. She went to St Veronica’s Church (school) until 8th grade and then graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She loved fishing and walking in the woods. She worked with Hospice when she lived in Fox Lake, Wisconsin and loved working with the “Labor of Love” Sewing Ladies of Golden Shores Community, St. Petersburg, Florida.

She will be lovingly remembered by their eight children Renee, Peggy (Sebastian Hamann), William (Gloria), Monica (David Rudolf deceased), Richard, John (Beth), Late Anne (Tom Rager deceased), Edward (Denise). Cherished Grandmother of Rose (Cliff) Ferrell, Matt (Toni) Joerres, Natalie Rawski, William (Amanda Kernats), Steven Rawski, Kelly (Jason) Skoug, Katie Rudolf, Jeff Rawski, Sarah Manata (Joshua) Smith, Michael Rager, Alex (Giovanna) Rager, Logan Rawski, Jon Rawski, Joshua Rawski, Jessica Rawski, Great-Grandchildren; Alexandra (Sean) Maloney, Colton Joerres, Grace Skoug, Brayden Skoug, Donny Rawski, Autumn Rawski, Summer Rawski, Marley Mae Rawski, Elsie Smith, Cynthia Smith, Molly Smith, Tamara Rager, Ava Rawski, Marley Mae Rawski and Great-Great Grandchild Keira Maloney.

Survived by her sister-in-law Sandra Savalia Gerben (nee Rawski), dear Sister of Carol (Lloyd) Barnes and Thomas (Nora, deceased) Herriges, She is preceded in death by siblings, Jerry ( the late Mildred) Herriges, Urban (the late Dolores) Herriges, Dolores (the late Eugene) Rudolf, Ralph (the late Vanda) Herriges, Phyllis ( the later Robert) Rock, Monica (the late Tom) Pieczynski, James (Marianne) Herriges, Paul ( the late Dolores) Herriges, Claude (Christel Herriges), John (the late Kathleen) Herriges, Mary Carmen ( the late Kenneth) Willms, Ann (the late Norb) Weiler, Jean (the late Bud) Reicheck, and Louise ( the late Donald) Gresbach. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 16th at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located at 66 North Avenue in Sanford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black-Heald & Walker Funeral Home, Sanford-Springvale.
