Ernest B. Poole

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest B. Poole Jr., a lifelong resident of Sanford, Maine. Born on September 26, 1948, in Sanford to Ernest Sr. and Lillian Poole, Ernest passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 74. Ernest retired from a career in manufacturing, having worked in both shoe and light bulb production. Despite his dedication to his work, what mattered most to him was his family. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, card games, watching his grandsons ride their dirt bikes, camping, spending time with family, and tending to his garden. His hobbies and interests were a reflection of his adventurous nature, always seeking new experiences and cherishing the time spent with loved ones. Ernest is survived by his daughter, Lillian Desruisseaux; grandsons, Cody Poole, Adam Desruisseaux, and Wade Desruisseaux; and granddaughter, Mikayla Desruisseaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Lillian Poole. Ernest's love and devotion to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
