South Portland - Erica Campbell, age 61, passed away after a short illness on May 19, 2021. Erica was born on April 3, 1960, in Portsmouth, NH to parents Robert and Mary Roth. Erica attended Portsmouth High School, where she excelled academically and participated in the theater program, with memorable performances in shows such as Bye Bye Birdie and Fiddler on the Roof. Erica graduated from Bowdoin College in 1982. After college, she returned to Portsmouth, where she met her husband, Dana Campbell of South Portland, Maine. Erica and Dana married on March 3, 1984. The couple eventually settled in South Portland, Maine, where they lived, worked, and raised their three children. Erica dedicated her life to her family and her faith. When she was not working alongside her husband at the little family market they owned, Campbell's Market in South Portland, Erica enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. Over the last year, she particularly looked forward to her weekly Sunday calls with her grandchildren, who were always excited to have Nana read them a story. No one read a story quite like Nana. Erica is survived by her husband Dana Campbell; her children, William, Brendan and Rebecca; daughter-in-law, Sue; and two grandchildren, Angus and Penny. She is also survived by her siblings, Julie Roth-Faria of Dover, NH, Jen Roth of Rochester, NH, Jess Butterfield of Vernon, VT, and Chris Roth of Stratham, NH. Visiting hours celebrating Erica's life will be held from 4-6PM on Tuesday, May 25 at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. 13. I’m so sorry to hear of Erica’s passing. I’m sending prayers to her family and friends. I’ve been going to Campbells Market since I went to Kaler school. My friends and I would stop by every day for penny candy or some kind of treat. It won’t be the same without her humor and quick witty remarks. May she rest in peace.

  14. Erica was a beautiful little girl who grew up to be a beautiful woman, inside and out. She was also a fabulous sister. I feel wretched about her passing, and very blessed that she and I had a l-o-n-g phone conversation just weeks before all this craziness started. Rest in peace, Gaga. You created wonderful children and grandhildren. You done good.
