Eric A. Cohen

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Eric Austin Cohen, age 25 of Highlands Ranch, Colorado our beloved son, father, brother, family member and friend passed away in a tragic accident on April 12, 2020. Those who knew him, lost a shining spiritual light in their lives. Eric will be missed every day. We know Eric is with his little brother Michael Ryan and he is loved here on earth, as well as in heaven. Eric was born February 10th, 1995 in Chandler, Arizona, the son of Jenny and Johnny Cohen. He is survived by his adorable daughter Ava and his loving siblings Miranda and Jack. Eric was an amazing individual who loved to be around his wide circle of family and friends. As an animal lover he adored his dogs, especially Shadow. At an early age, Eric was an avid sports enthusiast and excelled in every sport he played. He was a huge Red Sox fan, and his sister and brother will always cherish that special time when Eric took them to see the Red Sox play at Fenway Park. He was an accomplished boxer, and one of his proudest moments was receiving his championship belt during a KO match. In addition, Eric battled both in and outside of the ring. As a devoted member of the AA program, he passed away on his 9th month of sobriety. We were so proud of Eric and his determination to beat his addiction; he was also proud of this success. Eric will be cremated and there will be a private celebration of life. His ashes will be spread in areas that brought him peace and happiness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any organizations that helps people suffering from addiction, mental health or helping animals. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of Portland.
