Ellen F. Seader

Portland - Ellen F. Seader, formerly of South Portland, died Thursday, June 25, 2020 at The Cedars. Born in Portland on July 6, 1928, Ellen was the daughter of the late Alexander and Delia (Foley) Seader. She was raised in South Portland and graduated from South Portland High School in 1947. She was a former communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and worked as a technician in a medical facility for Ventrix Laboratories. In addition, she worked for Clearweave Women's Apparel. She enjoyed traveling and was a very active volunteer for the Salvation Army. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Frazer and Patricia Proctor; brother, Alexander J. Seader, III. She is survived by her niece, Pamela Proctor and husband Louis of Kittery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Holy Cross Church, 124 Cottage Road, South Portland. Interment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland.
