Edwin “Ed” Jordan

February 1, 1962 ~ January 1, 2026

Edwin “Ed” Jordan, 63, passed away January 1st at Summer Commons Nursing Facility in Sanford Maine with his loving daughter at his side.

Ed, known as Skeeter to family, was born in Southbridge MA. Ed and family lived in North Adams, MA, Saco, ME where they owned cabins, and Old Orchard Beach, ME. Ed is the second son of Joseph Jordan Sr. and Edwina (Braley) Jordan. Ed graduated from North Adams State College in 1985, with a Bachelors degree in computer science.

Ed was the owner of the Big Scoop in Old Orchard Beach in the 1980’s, and later owned and managed rental properties at A&J Property Management.

Ed was an active member of the Summer Commons Residential Counsel, serving as president for some years. Ed enjoyed his many plants, football pools, sneaking bingo chips, and a good puzzle game.

Ed is survived by his daughter Amanda Jordan, of Biddeford, ME and son Joshua Jordan of Florida. Two brothers, Joseph Jordan Jr of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Harold Jordan and partner Soley Kristjansdottier of Wilmington, DE. And Iceland, One sister, Catherine Jordan of Biddeford, ME. Three grandsons Jace Smith, Blake Smith, and Hardin Smith of Florida. Niece and nephew Stefan Haroldsson and Kristin Haroldsdottier of Delaware. Ed is predeceased by his father and mother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 7th, from 4-7pm at the Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home, located at 580 Main St, Springvale, ME. Graveside services will be held in February with internment at Tabor Cemetery, 91 Main St, Acushnet, MA.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Summer Commons/Newton Center for the care and support they offered to Ed over the years.
