Dear Enman Family, I was very sad to hear of Eddie’s passing. He was my oldest friend. I met him when I was 5 and he was 7. Our families both lived on Briggs Street on Portland’s West End. My family moved to Munjoy Hill in Portland in 1961. I was very happy when Eddie’s family came to the Hill a few years later. I remember Eddie’s parents and his brothers, David & Danny. They were such a nice family. Eddie taught me how to play baseball. We played together every summer day at the Marada Adams School yard. We also played in Little League 5 together. Eddie was one of the best players in the league. He was a life-long friend and a very important part of my childhood. I will never forget him. To Eddie, I say: Farewell old friend. May God rest your soul.Sincerely,Rick Wright

David, Danny and Mike my deepest condolences to you and your family. Eddie was always a great person to be around and would never give anyone a hard time. The nine core values that The First Tee teaches is what he is all about. Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Preserverance, Judgment, and Courtesy and no one would say he didn’t live up to those values. I will miss is smiling face at Riverside and I’m sure many other will also. Take care my good friend until we see you again.

My heartfelt condolences to Ed’s family at their time of such great loss. I grew up and went through K-12 with Ed. Any time I saw Ed through the years it was always such a happy encounter to catch up a bit with one of the ‘Bayside’ crew, most recently at ‘Salvage’ restaurant with he and Linda. When you look at the definition of a true gentleman, Ed’s picture is right there. May God rest you Ed and bless your family at this time of loss.

Hi. Just a note from a distant relative from PEI. Wanting to pass on my sympathy to the family. I remember when Eddy, David and Danny came to our house when we were all kids and we would play catch and we went on a picnic with all our parents. We use to have a lot of fun back then. Last time I saw Eddy and Danny was in 1997 when Mom, Dad , Charlie and Jessie Cole and I went up to visit all the relatives and Eddy and Danny came over to Alberts apt. Mom played piano and the gang sang the old songs. Just wanted to let you know we were thinking of you all at this sad time. Kurt had told us about Eddy’s passing. Sympathy Jessie and Carl Adams.

I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Eddie. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Linda and your family. Eddie was the best. I did graduate with him and I am sorry to say this was one of the first reunions this past July that I missed. I always had a nice chat with Eddie. Of course, we go way back with the family as the Beatty’s were lucky having all the Enman’s right across the street on Vesper Street. May all your fond memories bring you all much comfort real soon!
